Bealings, Hasketon and Grundisburgh

OS Explorer 212 coordinates 230 475 for Little Bealings.

I can’t remember how far this was but I reckon about 15 miles and the first ride this year in shorts and t-shirt, no fleece or waterproof. Yippee!

I rode through Little Bealings past the Admiral’s Head then left into Holly Lane, right at the Playford corner crossroads and up past Culpho up towards Grundisburgh. This is all on lovely quiet country roads through open farmland with a few houses here and there. Grundisburgh has a village green in front of the church with a huge willow tree which is a nice shady spot for a rest and a map read.

From Grundisburgh I continued on the Woodbridge road then diverted left down a narrow country lane, complete with grass all down the middle, into Hasketon to admire their horse and cart village sign.

From Hasketon its a short hop back towards Woodbridge but I took the Great Bealings road and ended up back on Holly Lane where I started.

Going back through Little Bealings is fun first due to the good shaking you get going over the level crossing then a short sharp ride up Beacon Hill to the crossroads. Then its straight over onto Hall Road towards Milsoms then back into Kesgrave and home.
